[1.5.1] Optifine HD U A6 [MODS]
Hello everyone!
Because 1.5.1 pre-release is out, optifine also update to 1.5.1! Get one now! Optifine is widely used to boost the performance of minecraft by turning off some features or set everything for maximum performance. Keep in mind that Optifine support HD textures, so if you have Optifine installed, you can just use the texture pack and let Optifine do the work. Remember that Optifine HD Ultra is fully configurable.

1. Open Run, then type %appdata%, by default your .minecraft folder should be there.
2. Open bin, then right click on minecraft.jar, open with any 7zip opener ( i prefer WinRaR), leave it be.
3. DELETE META-INF folder inside minecraft.jar
3. Open Optifine HD U A6.rar, drag all the contents with .class extension to minecraft.jar
4. Close it, run minecraft and test!

Minecraft 1.5.1 pre-release [UPDATE]

1.5.1 pre-release is out! Here's the changelog:
- Fixed a bunch of bugs
- Improve performance
- Notable: Falling blocks no longer glitch one step
- Notable: White stitching between blocks should be less frequent
- Notable: Crash on Mac OS X on “OpenGL Function Not Supported”
- Notable: Unable to place paintings

[1.5] BSOD Issues with Forge and Optifine
Hello everyone!
There's been a problem with optifine and forge. Once you've modded minecraft with forge and optifine (forge first then optifine), BSOD shows up. I'm still trying to figure out this weird bug, because usually optifine and forge are compatible with each other.
I will submit a bug report to minecraft, forge and optifine website shortly.
Waiting for the bugfix, it's sad but you will need to wait until there's a bugfix or another solution from either minecraft or both of the mod, forge and optifine.

[1.5] Minecraft Forge 7.7.0 [MODS]
Hello everyone!
Also, following to the Minecraft 1.5 Update, Minecraft Forge also release the 1.5 version about yesterday evening. Minecraft forge is a handy little tool if you want to make a mod or run a mod. Simply put, forge simplifies the process of adding in modifications to your Minecraft game

Minecraft Forge 7.7.0 for 1.5
To install Forge, follow this instruction:
1. Make sure your minecraft/jar doesn't have modloader/audiomod.If you have one or both of them installed, get a fresh one.
2. Open minecraft.jar with any 7zip opener, open the downloaded minecraftforge as well.
3. DONT DELETE the META-INF. Open the META-INF then delete the file which has MOJANG name ONLY.
4. Copy the all files inside the downloaded forge.
5. Run Minecraft once, then you will have to wait until the forge setup everything.
6. Play!

+ Added Weighed Pressure Plate
+ Added Block of Redstone
+ Added Nether Brick (item)
+ Added Nether Quartz and ore
+ Added Block of Quartz, with half blocks and chiseled variants
+ New command: /scoreboard
+ New command: /effect
+ Containers and mobs can have custom names
* Inventory management has been changed, for example you can drag-place items over slots
* Texture packs now have separate images for each block and item, and can have animations
